Description

This template is intended to help the author visualize the various phases of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). It was designed as a hybrid waterfall methodology; however it can be adapted for Agile as well. The intent was to define the role of various teams within a project as part of solution delivery. It identifies the teams involved, the types of meetings (Joint Application Design – JAD), the inputs and outputs of these meetings and the various relationships between team members within each phase of the SDLC.

Each step has an identifier which could be associated to document and/or spreadsheet which details the actions required within each, this will vary greatly from company to company. There are 7 pages in this template:

The document is intended to printed on 8.5″ x 14″, first page being 8.5″ x 11″ (Legend). The objects used in the document as explained in the legend along with the types of arrows used throughout each illustrated phase. The package contains a Visio file in both Office 16, and a backward compatible version supporting Visio 2003-2010), there is also a PDF of the overall illustration.
